Product description:
We offer you a colorful rare figurine "May Night", created based on the story of the same name by Nikolai Gogol. The sculpture depicts a couple in love - the Cossack Levko and Anna in traditional Ukrainian national dress.
Manufacturer: Polonsky Plant of Artistic Ceramics (ZHC Polonne).
Period of creation: 1970-1980s of the 20th century.
Material: porcelain, underglaze cobalt, lush overglaze artistic painting, gilding.
Sculptor: the model was designed by the outstanding Ukrainian artist Oksana Zhnykrup.
Authenticity and marking:
On the bottom of the statuette there is a clear original stamp of the Polonsky ZHC (stylized swan) in red, which indicates the highest 1st grade ("1C"). Also marked are factory indices and the then retail price - 8 karbovanets 50 kopecks (8-50), which is an additional confirmation of the originality of the product.

Characteristics and dimensions:
Height: approximately 26.5 - 28 cm (large, cabinet sculpture).
Base: approximately 11 x 12 cm.
Condition: excellent collector's preservation. No chips, cracks, hairlines, or traces of gluing or restoration. The glaze is shiny, the gilding and paint are intact.
