Teacher: Elena Kapranova, head of the Ukrainian department of ikebana, adviser to the President of the branch of the Ikenobo school in Eastern Europe, assistant professor of ikebana 1st level, teacher of the tea ceremony of the Urasenke school.

1 month MORIBANA STYLE
1 lesson - 19/10
History of Ikebana, principles and main styles of the Ikenobo school.
You will learn how ikebana differs from bouquets and floral arrangements, who and how started this art, as well as the philosophical and aesthetic principles embedded in the forms of ikebana and why each element of the composition has its place and meaning.
Introducing the first style - Moribana, which literally means "flowers on a plate". Philosophy of form and general principles of composition.
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

Lesson 2 - 26/10

Inclined and cascading forms of Moriban
In this lesson, you will review the principles of Moriban construction and try to create all three forms of Moriban.
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

3 lessons - 2/11
Final lesson on Moribana style
During the lesson you will make 3-4 compositions in various forms of moriban.
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

2 month NAGEIRE STYLE
1 lesson - 16/11
Nageire style, history of creation, principles of construction.
You will learn what “nageire” means, in which vases nageire compositions are created and methods of attaching branches are used in this form.
If you want to express the sophistication of nature in your compositions, then you will certainly like this form

Lesson 2 - 23/11

In this lesson, you will review the principles of nageire construction and try to create all three forms of nageire.

Final lesson on nageire style
During the lesson you will make 3-4 compositions in various forms of nageire.
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

3 month JIYUKA STYLE

1 lesson - 7/12
The history of the emergence of one of the most modern styles of ikebana - jiyuka, its philosophy, principles of construction, options for location in space, rules for combining artificial materials and dried flowers with fresh flowers.
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

2 lessons - 14/12
Practical lesson in freestyle
Lesson duration: 3 hours.

3 lessons - 14/12

Each student creates 1 composition in three styles (moribana, nageire, jiyuka).
Those who complete the full course will be issued a certificate.

Anyone who successfully passes the exam will be recommended by the teacher and will be able to apply for 1st and 2nd diplomas from the Ikenobo School (Kyoto, Japan). The cost and shipping of diplomas from Japan are paid separately.
