Before starting the project, we studied the history of Sicilian textile and ceramic artists. It turned out that for many centuries Sicily was a place where people emigrated from Greece, Africa and the East. With each wave of emigration, new people brought their unique techniques for processing and decorating household utensils to Sicily. Foreign masters shared their secrets, so today what we know as Sicilian ceramics contains a cultural layer: starting with Greek and ending with the Muslim conquests of the island. The culture of creating this beauty from clay is more than 4 thousand years old.
We were inspired by history and developed a collection of ceramics and painted them by hand. Every detail in the drawings on ceramics has meaning and significance. But in general, hand painting and textiles in combination with floristry and decoration gave the room a real Sicilian spirit, full of warmth and light.
Our floral designers are not magicians, but they can take you to any corner of the world.
